Located dead center of Carlsbad Village, Choice Juicery offers a huge list of super-healthy items for those on the go, or hang out in their cool backyard seating area (dog friendly).
What They Are Famous For: Smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, fruit bowls, superfood snacks, plant-based milks, hot drinks and more.
Hints: We are addicted to the Coffee Buzz smoothie with peanut butter and carob chips, but they offer over 15 other additions. Fruit bowls, juices and everything else here is good. Public restrooms and a public “backyard” hangout makes this a great stop when you are looking for something super healthy and delicious.

Another central location and local favorite with lots of bowls, smoothies, juices to take with you or hang out on the patio.
What They Are Famous For: Different types of fruit bowls, smoothies galore, organic fruit juices and blends, and multiple types of pretzels. They also offer some exotic drinks featuring coffee, matcha, Mexican cocoa and açaí, and a lot of grab-n-go snacks.
Hints: Good place to grab something for breakfast, lunch, dinner or on the way to the beach. Try Life’s A Peach, and Orange Breeze or a watermelon cucumber mint refresher. Kid sizes are just $5.95.

This is a national chain offering hand-made fruit bowls to order, superfoods, and a lot of other healthy snacks. You get to pick the fruit base and the fruits/ingredients and they make it for you.
What They Are Famous For: Acai and other types of fruit bowls that can be customized by you. Pick the fruit base (açaí, Pitaya, etc.) and then load up the fruits and toppings you want.
Hints: These bowls can be a full meal for most, so take your time to get it just the way you want. Smoothies can also be customized. Fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries are always in the bowls or smoothies we order (like the NanaBerry Bliss smoothie).

Hints: Closer than the Village if you are staying around Legoland. We are addicted to the Coffee Buzz smoothie with peanut butter and carob chips, but they offer over 15 other additions. Fruit bowls, juices and everything else here is good. Try any of their fresh pressed juices – they are all fresh and delicious.

What They Are Famous For: Big salad bar during lunch, and fresh made to order sandwiches, smoothies and fresh juices. Great place to pick up some basic groceries and snacks if you staying in the area.
Hints: It’s in the back parking lot of Tip Top Meats so cruise around back to find the entrance. Worth the trouble to get a great smoothie made with fresh fruit. Or pick up sandwiches on the way to the beach. Eclectic mix of quality produce and groceries makes it a local favorite.

This company requires you to order online and then pick up – or have Grub Hub deliver it. Founded over 20 years ago in Utah, they have several locations and a food truck – see website for daily locations.
What They Are Famous For: They focus on açaí bowls and have 8 types that can be ordered before you arrive. You can customize the bowls with many ingredients. Delicious.
Hints: Our go to is the Campground, but Ponto-Pitaya is good too. The Doho bowl features Nutella for those looking for a more decadent meal. It’s a little hard to find – it’s around back of a small industrial complex but worth it if you are out and about in South Carlsbad.

Hints: While they have a lot of vegan and healthy choices, they caution that their products are not gluten or dairy free. The Greenie or The Buzz juices are favorites, and Acai Peanut Butter bowl and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein smoothie with cashew milk.

Hints: While they have a lot of vegan and healthy choices, they caution that their products are not gluten or dairy free. Razzmatazz, strawberries wild and peanut butter chocolate love are old favorites. Check as some drinks include yogurt, while others are all fruit. Medium and large sizes are full meals.
